● About
Why Choose Atelier J?
Atelier J began as a pipedream for a mom of two seeking to creatively balance home and work lives. Having worked as an Architect for over ten years on both large residential masterplans and small individual dwelling design, and then switching gears to raising happy little humans, Georgy now truly understands the meaning of home, and good honest home design.
Favouring a light touch approach to home interior design, the Retreat by Atelier J philosophy is about offering a home design service that is rooted in well-being, that steers clear of trend forecasting, and that focuses on aligning family blueprints to their homes. Homes and homelife is constantly in flux, and family needs change with the seasons of life.
Allow us to provide you with reliable, therapeutic, home design consultations, which are rooted in the understanding that individuals and families are constantly evolving, and therefore their homes should gradually bend with them throughout the various life chapters in order to accommodate new growth.

● Our Story
Meet Georgy
Georgy grew up surrounded by change. Whether it was moving homes as a young kid, growing up in a never-ending building site, or living between countries and cultures, life was a game of musical chairs and things were constantly in motion. As soon as a space had outgrown it’s original purpose, things would change. Growing up with a mother who worked from home, she spent a lot of time in safe hands exploring her immediate environs and enjoying long summers in the garden —painting on the parquet, playing music barefoot, and performing plays with her siblings under the stairs. Those early experiences of freedom, creativity, and joy became the heartbeat of the business she would go on to create.
Today, that vision lives on through her design consultancy service, where she guides you through bold ideas for creating safe spaces that adapt to your family’s growing needs. The kind of spaces that can only exist because of your unique famiy blueprint.
